At the New England School of Bioenergetic Medicine (NESBEM), we’re creating a movement of coherence — helping individuals, practitioners, leaders reconnect with science, nature, and human potential.

Located in the foothills of Vermont’s Green Mountains, NESBEM is a nonprofit school offering experiential learning across 300 acres of forest, field, and sanctuary. The New England School of Bioenergetic Medicine exists to teach people — across cultures, professions, and belief systems — how to become more coherent in themselves and in the worlds they influence.

Rooted locally and connected globally, we bring together learners, leaders, and practitioners from around the world who share a commitment to cultivating coherence within themselves, their communities, and the planet.

​Bridging neuroscience, ecopsychology, quantum physics, and somatic integration, our programs unite ancient wisdom with modern science. Students don’t just study transformation — they embody it — developing the capacity for presence, empathy, and grounded leadership that ripples through every system they touch.

As part of the Quantum Coherence Initiative, our mission is guided by the visionary leadership of Dr. Stephanie Shelburne and inspired by Dr. Y. King Liu, founder of the University of Northern California — uniting science, wisdom, and human potential in service of a more coherent world.

Biomedical Director and lead educator at NESBEM, Dr. Stephanie brings decades of experience in energy medicine, trauma healing, and ecological health. Her unique approach blends science with soul to guide each student toward coherence and clarity.
